Michelim Sea Salt Cookies are chocolate chip cookies that are made with a dash of 100% pure sea salt, creating that perfect balance between salty and sweet.

Agape created the brand strategy, visual design, packaging and messaging for the brand.

Creating the brand’s story

When we first met with the client, she already had a logo but didn’t have any branding whatsoever. Her product was exceptional, but we still had to uncover her brand’s story.

Upon tasting her product, we were all blown away with how perfectly balanced the flavor was. It wasn’t too sweet yet not too salty. This was due to the fact that Michelle, the owner, adds a dash of sea salt to her recipe.

Inspired by this, and with the goal of setting her apart in an over saturated market, we coined the brand message: “Surely from the Shore” which is inspired by how adding sea salt creates the perfect balance to the cookie, which allows the flavors to flow together. Coupled with her affinity for mermaid tiles, this inspired us to create a coastal theme for the brand.

 

With a coastal theme established, the color palette was inspired by the sand and the sea - resulting in muted shades of blue and beige. Very much like the cookies, which are perfectly balanced, the visuals are eye catching without being too loud.
