The Hottest Duck in Town

Firequacker serves tea-smoked duck, a quintessential Sichuan dish prepared by hot smoking a marinated duck over tea leaves.

While typically served during large feasts and celebrations, Firequacker aims to make the dish more accessible by offering a variety of sizes, an ode to the idea that every “win” is worth celebrating - no matter how big or small.

Agape created the brand strategy, identity and social media for Firequacker.

A pun on “firecracker”, the name is meant to convey the traditional celebratory nature of the dish in a fun and witty way.

The logo combines the Firequacker symbol with a bold logotype enclosed by a traditional Chinese frame.

Firequacker offers a unique take over the traditional way of preparing duck by smoking instead of roasting, giving the dish a fuller, bolder flavor.

Inspired by the unique way in which the dish is prepared, we wanted to make sure that Firequacker’s identity is bold, eye-catching, and with a touch of quirkiness.

We wanted to convey this juxtaposition of tradition and uniqueness through the identity we created for Firequacker.

Chinese ornamental frames and patterns were used to convey tradition while playful illustrations and posters featuring pop culture references were included to give the brand a more fun, relatable vibe.

Playful illustrations of ducks in various scenarios were added to give more character to the brand.

Firequacker is located at The Cloudy Kitchen, Brixton St, Pasig and is available for delivery via Grab and Food Panda
